Jessie & Holden // Susquehanna River Couples Session

Wednesday, May 21, 2014

Over-shoot-itis: noun; A disease most commonly found in photographers when given a couple so adorable you refuse to let up on the shutter.

Ok, so it may not be a word, but it should be. Jessie was the winner of our Kindle Fire giveaway and she chose a couples session to redeem her prize. We had such an amazing time getting to know them and being able to document this stage in their lives was so much fun! They really care about each other in a special way and they were so sweet together! I know I probably say this all the time, but trying to decide which images to post was SO not easy.

We truly enjoyed spending time with you two! The fact that we could chat about our deep love for Chipotle almost the entire way home, seals the deal. We love you guys!

What Is A Bridal Session?

Friday, May 2, 2014

I've had several of my brides ask what a bridal session is, so I thought I'd share my thoughts on what that is exactly and answer the questions I hear so frequently. I have several reasons why I love bridals and why I would recommend it to any future bride. First , a "Bridal Session," is when a bride gets photos taken in full wedding attire before or  after her wedding day.

  1.  It's a great way for us to get to know each other and I have the opportunity to see which poses work best for you. It just really helps things move along smoothly on the wedding day!
  2. It's the perfect day to schedule your pre-wedding hair and makeup trial, since you're going to have it done anyways, might as well put that pretty hair to good use.
  3. You get to wear that gorgeous dress more than once and get the feel for it before your big day. Just in case there was anything that needed altered that you didn't notice while trying it on for a couple minutes, you still have time to fix it.

It's best to have your session as soon as possible! In case you wanted your favorite image printed for your wedding day or a couple prints put together for your sentimental parents/grandparents of their daughter/grand-daughter all grown up, it gives us time to do that for you.

Anywhere you like! You'll have plenty of images from your wedding venue so this is your opportunity to use that gorgeous spot you pass every day to work. Tell us what style your going for and we'll take care of the rest.

Can I bring a friend?

YES! I would even encourage it! Bring your MOH or a friend that makes you laugh and feel comfortable. She can hold your dress and help you with that lipstick touch up.

Do I have to bring a bouquet?

No, but I would recommend it because it helps to have something in your hands. It doesn't have to be the most expensive bouquet, just something sweet and along the lines of colors that you were thinking of having in your wedding bouquet. If you prefer to pick wild flowers and make your own, that's fine too!

All in all, a bridal session is SO fun! I chose to get one before my wedding and I absolutely loved it! I promise it'll be a fun experience and it'll make you that much more excited for your wedding day!

I hope this gives you a little more clarity on what a bridal session is! If you have any more questions that I haven't covered in this post, feel free to ask.
