Travis & Ashlyn // Lancaster Engagement Session

Saturday, November 22, 2014

When we don't always get the opportunity to meet with our couples before their session, I'm always so curious what they're like and how they show their love to each other. Travis & Ashlyn did not disappoint! I feel like I got the real them the entire session and we loved how much they just truly enjoyed the evening together and it didn't even feel like we were there to take pictures. These two have a passion for the outdoors, each other (!), and most importantly for Christ.

We loved running around town with you two (chasing that sun like crazy people) and we can't wait for your intimate outdoor wedding next year!

Quintin & Emilys Wedding Day // Chestertown Maryland

Thursday, November 20, 2014

Hey guys, Paul here.  I'm giving Ali a break on the blogging...we have had quite a few sessions recently, and one can only stare at a computer screen for so long. :) Besides, I am BEYOND excited to give you a look inside the story of Quintin & Emily's wedding day!

A couple of weeks ago, Ali and I hopped in our car and took the beautiful fall trek down to Chestertown, MD, one of the cutest little towns on the Chesapeake Bay. Saturday the 8th dawned absolutely gorgeous, not a cloud in the sky. It was chilly, but what is a fall wedding without a cozy sweater?

There was not a hint of stress or anxiety in the air at the Stoltzfus house, where Emily enjoyed the morning with her bridesmaids, and prepared for the day. Quintin got ready at his house, and showed up 15 minutes early to wait for his bride at a quiet marina just down the road from the church. He was so full of  excitement and anticipation and as Emily walked up behind him and touched his shoulder, their emotion and joy had us tearing up behind the camera. The first look is by far one of our favorite moments of a wedding day. It's that pinnacle moment, after years of dreaming, hoping, praying, planning, and preparing... he turns to see his bride in front of him, and as they embrace for the first time on their wedding day, the reality sets in that they are together forever.
And so went the wedding day. There were so many moments like this, but in it all, the passion that they felt for each other was evident, and it shone through on every photograph.

To Quintin & Emily: You truly are a special couple. Watching you interact with each other throughout this process has been such a joy to watch. Being there as you loved on each other, and stepped out on this journey, reminded us once again why we do what we do.
We hope you enjoy the photos, and relive the moments, and THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for taking us along on the ride.

Emily preps for the day in her own room, sitting on an antique chair that was purchased when her parents got married. (How cool!)
